In this post I will shw how to create an exception set, and assign it to an item and simulate two examples.
The Oracle Planning Module there are exceptions for you to control your production plan, but it allows you to make exceptions records as you need them.
- Shortage Exceptions
After did this registration you must assign this exception set to an item and work based on the planning time of this item.
With this exception set and another 52-day planning time fence, if our demand is less than these 52 days, the system will plan a production order for the first day after those 52 days, the generating a stock in this period.
With this type of information, it is more easier to do analyzes and then make decisions about the data.
- Excess Inventory
This example of excess inventory, we will simulate an example with quantity 50 in stock. Starting from this as the demand is for 02/20/2018 the system should generate two exception records, one with total quantity up to the first date of the demand, and the second discounting the quantity of the demand. show that there is no need to generate production orders, since what you have in stock sufficiently the required demand
Record without suggestion to create Production Order.
Two exception records as mentioned.
