In this article I will demonstrate a Standard Operations feature within Oracle. The main function of a standard operation is to save time to make modifications of time and resource. In the example below we will create a default operation and assign it to a script.
Bill of Material -> Routings -> Standard Operations
From this register you can link this operation to any routing.
Notice that the edit fields are all blocked, precisely because the modification of these values must be done in the original register. By changing the information in the original master record, all scripts that are bound to this standard TT operation will change their values.
After the above change, the resource Z time has changed.
This functionality is very important and useful when you have multiple production times. ex: Waiting times between departments, displacement between productive units.
